One of the many benefits of working with our medical weight loss centers is access to all the support and helpful information, which includes healthy recipes like today’s Low Carb Spinach Casserole. It’s delicious for any meal and also makes the perfect side for your holiday dinners.
We always recommend clients load up on green leafy vegetables—and spinach is an excellent option. It’s perfect for those on easy weight loss programs because it’s rich in both protein and dietary fiber, so it’s very filling yet low in calories. Spinach is also extremely nutrient dense—it’s packed with at least 13 different flavonoid compounds that act as antioxidants, protecting the body from free radical damage. With its high content of vitamins C and A, it’s a very heart healthy food. In addition, this powerful leafy green is an awesome source of lutein, which promotes eye health, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, iron, niacin, folate potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium and vitamins K, B2 and B6.
